Over the winter break I watch multiple movies, even though I've seen this film a hundred times I still love it. I think it's safe to call it a classic LOL. But maybe that's because I love basketball so much, but anyways the movie was about a coach changing young men lives for the better teaching them how to be responsible and how to properly be a part of society. Coach Carter came to coach the Richmond Highschool boy's basketball team after a losing season the previous year. When the coach arrived he was met with disrespect from the players , beuase there was no discipline in the ogranization. Before starting to practice the coach require all players to sign a contract, that demanded respect for him and all the fellow player, a 2.3 (when the state requirement was 2.0) and to conduct themselves productively in and outside of practice. When the requirement w of the grade point average were not met , he locke the gym and told the players to report to the library for study hall until the grades improved. He even went as far as cancelling games , this outraged the student body and the community because the boys had an so far undeafeated season. The Coach had decided to resign after the appeal of the gym lockout by the school board, which went against everything he stood for. When he collected his things from the gym he was met by his team in the gym having study hall, this was a huge turning point in the movie. This showed the boys had matured into responsible men that new that their word and mind was the only thing they had in life. The boys went to the championship were they loss by1 point but left with their heads high , because they camed more than a trophy or a title.
